Payment Plan

Early Registration: 5% discount for full payment made by April 15, 2017.
*Tuition can be made in 3 installments for 2 subjects courses only (tuition marked with*)

Sibling Discount: 5% discount to second child

Payment plan:

1st payment – upon registration (to guarantee seat)
2nd payment – two weeks before start date
3rd payment - two weeks after start date

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

The following schedule determines the Cancellation fee:
10% of the tuition before April 15
50% of the tuition from April 15 to start date
No refund on/after start date

Subject Enrichment (grade 1 to 12)

Students select one or two subjects from Math, Reading Comprehension, and Writing to create an individualized summer program that best suits their needs and level. Click on the tabs to learn about each program.

A-1 : Math

Grades 1-3

  • Build strong foundation in number sense, place value
  • Sharpen computation and number skills by applying Mental Math
  • Practice fundamental operations and solving story problems

Grade 4-5

  • Strengthen Math skills by learning number concepts & relationships
  • Learn to use critical thinking and strategies to solve word problems – look for pattern, drawing diagrams, make a list, create charts, guess & check to tackle routine and non-routine problems

Grades 6-8

  • Build Math concepts in General Math through Pre-Algebra
  • Challenge logical and critical thinking skills and apply to problem solving
  • Practice with Math Counts and Continental Math League questions

Grades 9-12

  • Review or get a head start on various Math levels:
  • Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus
  • Practice with PSAT and SAT Math topics and questions

 

A-2 : Reading Comprehension

Grades 1-3

  • Strengthen oral reading and listening skills, increase phonic awareness
  • Read with confidence 

Grades 4-5

  • Develop proficiency in reading comprehension by focusing on finding facts, detecting sequence, learning new vocabulary through context, identifying main ideas, drawing conclusions, and making inferences 

Grades 6-8

  • Increase reading ability and sharpen comprehension skills to help literature digestion, including language enrichment and building vocabulary
  • Explore a wide range of and high interest in literature, fiction and non-fiction

Grades 9-12

  • Develop critical reading skills with passage-based reading, challenging books and articles
  • Prepare students for PSAT/SAT Critical Reading

A-3 : Writing

Grades 1-3

  • Introduce basic skills in writing
  • Encourage transition from writing sentences to short paragraphs
  • Write with confidence                       

Grades 4-5

  • Develop expository writing skills; focus on organizing ideas into sequence, using descriptive details, correct grammar structure, word usage, and effective presentation
  • Explore creative writing with fun and inspirational prompts

Grades 6-8

  • Introduce and practice on various types of writing – personal narrative, how to, descriptive, comparative, persuasive, and short report applying writing process of drafting, revising and editing

Grades 9-12

  • Strengthen expository writing skills and explore on writing research paper
  • Prepare for PSAT/SAT Writing section

B : Test Prep

B-1 Kindergarten Admission

  • Prepare Pre-K students for individual interview 

B-2 4th Grade Admission

  • Prepare for the written tests on Math, Reading Comprehension and Writing

C : SSAT Prep

C-1,2  SSAT Prep (Middle Level – grade 6 to 8) and (Upper Level grades 9 to 11)

  • Comprehensive test preparation on Verbal, Math, Reading, & Essay sections of the SSAT

D : SAT Prep

D-1 SAT (grade 9-12)

  • Introduce the SAT – Critical Reading, Writing and Math Sections with fundamental skills and test taking strategies

D-2 SAT 2400 (grade 11-12)

  • Design for students who have experience in SAT and aim at raising scores

E : Afternoon tutoring

E-1 Afternoon tutoring (all grade levels)

  • Review or get a head start for the next school year
  • Help students taking summer courses that need help in specific subjects
